Baked Havarti Chili Chicken
Ingredients
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (or a pack of chicken thighs)
  • 1 8oz package sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 4oz cans chopped green chilis
  • 4 oz sliced Havarti cheese with dill
  • Italian dressing
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon white wine
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • Salt
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  2. Marinate chicken in Italian dressing for at least 30 minutes
  3. Place chicken in 9x13” baking dish. (Optional – sprinkle with some Italian herbs)
  4. Bake in preheated oven for ~25 minutes or until center is no longer pink
  5. While chicken is cooking, melt butter in skillet over medium-high heat. Pour in wine, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic salt, Stir in mushrooms, Reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook until mushrooms are tender. Adjust seasoning with salt as needed
  6. Remove chicken from oven. Spoon chopped chilis on top of chicken then top with slices of cheese. Return to the oven until the cheese has melted
  7. Remove chicken from the oven and top wish mushrooms before serving.
