Ingredients
  • prime rib roast
  • salt
  • butter coating:
  • 2 sticks butter softened
  • 6-12 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 tbs kosher salt
  • 1 tbs pepper
  • Garlic powder 2 tsp
  • Onion powder 2tsp
  • Chopped fresh thyme, rosemary, sage (~1 tbs each)
Directions
  1. Salt the meat
  2. 8 hours sous vide at 133
  3. 30 min in fridge
  4. Pat dry
  5. Butter coating
  6. 15 min at 500 in oven on rack in roasting pan
