Zelda Torch Candle Holder

Tea candle holder meant to look like the torches you light in Zelda games

Project details:

I took a block of balsa wood and cut it to the size I wanted. I bought a few different sizes of wood to do strips on the sides and some strips of plastic to use on the top part. I superglued the side strips on and then painted them brown. I superglued on the pieces going around and painted them black. For the top part, I used wood and superglue to make 3 squares. I attached the plastic pieces and superglued them to the 3 wood squares to make the top piece and then attached the top to the base. I painted the top black and then I was done. I used acrylic paint and balsa wood strips that you can buy at any craft store. I am kind of irrationally afraid of a candle burning down my house, so I use the flameless ones so I don't have to worry about the fact that it's made of wood.
